Pleurobema sintoxia, commonly known as the round pigtoe, is a species of freshwater mussel. It is an aquatic bivalve mollusk that belongs to Unionidae, the family of river mussels. This species is native to eastern North America. Its natural range covers the drainages of the Ohio River, the St. Lawrence River, and the Great Lakes. Under the Canadian Species at Risk Act, this species is classified as endangered in Canada and included on the List of Wildlife Species at Risk.
