About Platysaurus minor Fitzsimons, 1930
Platysaurus minor Fitzsimons, 1930, commonly called the Waterberg flat lizard, reaches a length of 60 to 70 mm. The scales along the sides of its body are rounded, raised, and larger than the scales found on its back. Adult females always have three fully continuous longitudinal stripes, while these stripes are sometimes divided in males. This lizard species is distributed from Waterberg, South Africa, extending to the foothills of the Blouberg. It inhabits rocky sandstone outcrops located within a savannah habitat.
