About Platycerium superbum de Jonch. & Hennipman

Platycerium superbum, commonly called the staghorn fern, is a fern species belonging to the genus Platycerium. It is native to Australia. Its native distribution within Australia includes north-east New South Wales (north of Nabiac) and Queensland. It also occurs naturally in parts of Indonesia, Malaysia, and New Guinea. Propagated cultivated plants can be grown successfully as far south as Victoria in Australia. The fern was discovered growing on the Hawaiian Islands in the 1990s, where it is currently considered a "problem species".
