About Platycerium coronarium (D.Koenig ex O.F.Müll.) Desv.
Platycerium coronarium, also known as Platycerium coronarium (D.Koenig ex O.F.Müll.) Desv., is an epiphytic staghorn fern species belonging to the genus Platycerium. This species is distributed across maritime Southeast Asia, Indochina, and the entire East Indies. It produces two distinct types of leaves. The first type is foliage leaves, which are broad and grow in an upright habit. The second type is spore-bearing leaves, which are narrow, pendulous, and dichotomously lobed, and can reach up to 15 feet, or 4.6 meters, in length.
