Platanthera peramoena, commonly called the purple fringeless orchid, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the orchid family. It is native to the Eastern United States, and its range there extends across the Mid-Atlantic states, the Ohio Valley, and the Ozark Mountains. Its natural habitat includes moist forests, marshes, and streambanks. It produces purple flowers during the summer. The hummingbird clearwing moth (Hemaris thysbe) is recognized as its main pollinator.
