About Plagiobothrys tenellus (Nutt. ex Hook.) A.Gray
Plagiobothrys tenellus is an annual herb that produces several erect stems reaching up to around 30 centimeters in height. The plant has a very hairy texture, with long, white hairs. Its leaves form a basal rosette around the stem, with a few smaller leaves growing along the stem itself. The inflorescence is a coiling branch that holds many small five-lobed white flowers. Each individual flower measures 1 to 3 millimeters across. The fruit of this species is a tiny cross-shaped nutlet, with a surface covered in bumps and grooves.
