Plagiobothrys scouleri is an annual herb that most commonly grows in moist habitats. It can grow in a prostrate, spreading form or an upright form, reaching a maximum length of around 20 centimeters. Its leaves have a linear shape and a hairy texture. Its inflorescence is made up of a sequence of tiny five-lobed flowers, each measuring 2 to 4 millimeters across. The flowers are white, and they usually bear yellow appendages at their center.
