The Javan banded pitta, which has the scientific name Hydrornis guajanus (previously referenced as Pitta guajana (Statius Muller, 1776)), is a species of bird belonging to the family Pittidae. This species is found in Java and Bali. It was formerly classified as the same species as the Bornean banded pitta and the Malayan banded pitta; all three were collectively referred to as the banded pitta.
