Piper kadsura, commonly called Japanese pepper, is an East Asian species of pepper vine. It is a member of Piperaceae, the magnoliid pepper family. In Japanese, this plant goes by the name fūtōkazura (風藤). It grows only in warmer regions, and it was historically used for medicinal purposes.
