Pinarocorys nigricans (Sundevall, 1850), commonly called the dusky lark, is also known by the alternate common names dusky bush lark and rufous-rumped bush lark. This is a migratory lark species belonging to the lark family Alaudidae. It is native to the southern Afrotropics. It occurs in southern Central Africa, and travels as a summer migrant to more southerly regions. Its natural habitats are dry savannah and subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland.
