Pilosocereus leucocephalus (Poselg.) Byles & G.D.Rowley is a cactus species in the genus Pilosocereus. It shares the common name old man cactus with a number of similar species, and is also called old man of Mexico, tuno, and woolly torch. This species is native to Mexico and Central America. It has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Pilosocereus leucocephalus acts as a keystone species in dry landscapes across Mesoamerica. Frugivores including birds, bats, and some reptiles rely on the fruit this cactus produces as a source of hydration and sugar in arid areas.
