Pillansia is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the Iridaceae family. This genus was first formally described in 1914, and it holds only one known species: Pillansia templemannii. This species is endemic to Cape Province, South Africa. The genus name honors South African botanist Neville Stuart Pillans, who was the one that drew Harriet Margaret Louisa Bolus’s attention to this species.
