About Physematium obtusum (Spreng.) Hook.

Physematium obtusum, commonly known as the bluntlobe cliff fern, is a common rock fern found in Appalachia and eastern North America. It grows best on calcareous substrate, though it can also grow in neutral soils. It can be found growing on rock faces or in scree. This species is often confused with different ferns from the genus Cystopteris, but can be distinguished by its hairy characteristics.
