About Phylloscopus reguloides (Blyth, 1842)
Blyth's leaf warbler, with the scientific name Phylloscopus reguloides, is a leaf warbler species that belongs to the family Phylloscopidae. It was previously grouped within the collective "Old World warbler" assemblage. This species is found mainly in Southeast Asia, southern China, and along the Himalayas extending to northern Pakistan. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. The species was named for Edward Blyth, an English zoologist. When measuring birdsong complexity by the number of distinct notes, the high song complexity of Blyth's leaf warbler results from increased variation between its different song types.
