About Phyllonorycter joannisi (Le Marchand, 1936)

Phyllonorycter joannisi is a moth species that belongs to the family Gracillariidae. This moth is found across most of Europe, but does not occur in Ireland, the Iberian Peninsula, and the Balkan Peninsula. The wingspan of adults measures 6.5–9 mm. Adults emerge in May and August, producing two generations per year. The larvae of this species feed on Norway maple (Acer platanoides), by mining into the leaves of their host plant.
