About Phyllodesmium rudmani Burghardt & Gosliner, 2006

This species of nudibranch, Phyllodesmium rudmani Burghardt & Gosliner, 2006, can reach a maximum length of 45 millimeters. The cerata of this slug closely mimic the closed polyps of soft corals belonging to the genus Xenia. Individuals of Phyllodesmium rudmani host endosymbiotic zooxanthellae from the genus Symbiodinium. This species is distributed in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, and Luzon, the Philippines.
