About Phyllidiopsis annae Brunckhorst, 1993
This species of nudibranch, Phyllidiopsis annae, has a blue back that carries four longitudinal black lines, with raised ridges between these lines. It is a small phyllidiid nudibranch that reaches a maximum length of approximately 15 mm. Between the outermost black lines and the mantle edge, the body is marked with black spots, and its rhinophores are black. It resembles Phyllidiopsis xishaensis, but differs in rhinophore colour: the rhinophores of P. xishaensis are white. It also looks similar to Phyllidiopsis phiphiensis, which only has three longitudinal black lines on its mantle instead of four. This species was first described from Phi Phi Island in southern Thailand, and has also been recorded from Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Vietnam.
