About Phyllidia alyta Yonow, 1996

This species of nudibranch, Phyllidia alyta, has a grey dorsal surface. White tubercles are arranged in rows on the dorsum, and these rows are separated by four longitudinal black stripes. Its rhinophores are yellow, and some of the tubercles on its back have yellow tips. This species was first scientifically described from material collected at Ari Atoll, Maldives. It has been recorded in the Indian Ocean at locations including the Maldives, Mauritius, Réunion, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar.
