Phycitodes lacteella is a species of snout moth that was first described by Walter Rothschild in 1915. This species can be found across most of Europe, with the exception of Ireland, Great Britain, Norway, the Benelux countries, Switzerland, the Baltic region, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, and Ukraine. It also occurs in Algeria, Morocco, and Turkey. The wingspan of Phycitodes lacteella ranges from 17 to 19 millimetres, which equals 0.67 to 0.75 inches. Adult moths are active and on the wing during the month of September.
