About Pholcus opilionoides (Schrank, 1781)

This spider species, Pholcus opilionoides, has a spherical light brown cephalothorax with an irregular darker stripe running down its center. The adult body length, measured excluding the legs, ranges from 3 to 5 mm. The species has long legs that look similar to those of Opiliones (harvestmen), but it can be distinguished on close inspection by its body divided into two distinct segments: a cephalothorax and an abdomen.
