About Phigalia denticulata Hulst, 1900
Phigalia denticulata, commonly known as the toothed phigalia, is a moth species that belongs to the family Geometridae. Its distribution ranges from Ontario and New York south to Florida, west to Texas, and north to Missouri, with additional confirmed records from Utah. Male moths of this species have a wingspan measuring between 30 and 37 mm. The adult flight period runs from December to April in the southern parts of its range, and from late March to April in the northern parts. It is thought that the larvae of this species feed on the leaves of deciduous trees.
