About Pheugopedius felix (P.L.Sclater, 1860)
This species, scientifically named Pheugopedius felix (P.L.Sclater, 1860), shows very little physical difference between adult males and females. It is a fairly typical small wren, marked by a black and white striped face, a downward-curving bill, chestnut-colored upperparts, and cream-colored underparts. According to Howell and Webb, this species has a total length ranging from 12.5 to 14 cm. Its natural habitats include subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and heavily degraded former forest. Its nest matches the typical structure of nests built by other Pheugopedius wrens: it is roughly spherical, with an entrance chute at one end that points downwards.
