Phanogomphus borealis, commonly known as the beaverpond clubtail, is a species of clubtail dragonfly that belongs to the family Gomphidae. This species is native to the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada. Phanogomphus was previously classified as a subgenus of Gomphus, but phylogenetic studies have led to it being reclassified as a full genus.
