About Phaleria bimaculata (Linnaeus, 1767)

Phaleria bimaculata grows to a body length of 6 to 7 millimetres (0.24 to 0.28 inches). Typically, its head is dark brown, its pronotum is brown, and its elytra are pale brown with two large dark brown spots. This species of small beetle exhibits a high level of morphological variation between different populations. Phaleria bimaculata is found across most of Europe. As a type of darkling beetle, it inhabits sandy beaches.
