About Phalacra vidhisara Walker, 1960

This species, Phalacra vidhisara Walker, 1960, has wings whose outer margins are not notched below the wing tips. The adult body is pale reddish brown, with sparse scattering of black scales. On the forewings, faint traces of a wavy black antemedial line are present. Series of black specks occur along the postmedial and submarginal sections. The hindwing has an indistinct sub-basal line, a double medial line, and series of black specks along the postmedial and submarginal areas. The cilia of both wings are crossed by a black line. The larva is fusiform in shape, with a broad head. It has lateral and dorsal bristles, and elongated bristle-tipped spines on the anal end. The larval body is greenish, with a pink dorsal band bordered laterally by yellow and two red lines. The pupa is purplish brown, and covered in a white powdery bloom.
