About Phacelia marcescens Eastw. ex J.F.Macbr.
Phacelia marcescens Eastw. ex J.F.Macbr. is an annual herb that grows mostly erect, reaching a maximum height close to 20 centimeters. The plant is glandular and covered in short, stiff hairs. Its leaves are 1 to 5 centimeters long, oval-shaped, and have smooth edges; they sometimes also develop small lobes near the base of the leaf blade. The hairy inflorescence is a one-sided curving or coiling cyme made up of bell-shaped flowers. Each flower is roughly half a centimeter long, purple in color, and often has a paler throat.
