Phacelia curvipes Torr. ex S.Watson is an annual herb. It grows a small, branching stem that reaches up to around 15 centimeters long, and has a glandular, hairy texture. Its leaves are oval or lance-shaped, 1 to 4 centimeters long, and grow on petioles. The hairy inflorescence is a cyme that holds several flowers. Each flower has a bell-shaped or rounded, flattened corolla less than one centimeter long. The corolla is blue or purple, with a white throat.
