Peucetia viridana is a species of spider that is overall green in color. Its cephalothorax bears brown spots; the head region has a few spines, and its deep central fovea is green. The clypeus is long, with two black lines extending from the base of the middle anterior eyes. The sternum is heart-shaped, pointed toward the back, and covered with spines and hairs. The legs are long and strong, marked with conspicuous black spots and covered with long black spines. The abdomen is elongated, narrows toward the rear, and is covered with fine hairs. A deep brown longitudinal line runs through the center of the abdomen, with branches extending out to its sides. Adult females of this species measure roughly 10โ12 mm in body length, while adult males measure 8โ10 mm. This spider typically inhabits grass and low shrubs.
