The bridled sparrow, scientifically known as Peucaea mystacalis, is a bird species that belongs to the Passerellidae family. This species is endemic to Mexico, meaning it is found naturally nowhere else outside this country. Its native natural habitat is subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. Individual bridled sparrows of this species are brown in color.
