Petunia integrifolia (Hook.) Schinz & Thell., synonymously known as Petunia violacea, is commonly called the violet petunia or violetflower petunia. It is a species of wild petunia that produces violet-colored blooms. This species is native to Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The flowers of P. integrifolia grow to approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. The entire plant is typically smaller, and harder to cultivate, than the widely known hybrid bedding petunia that is currently correctly classified as Petunia × atkinsiana.
