About Petromarula pinnata (L.) A.DC.
Petromarula pinnata (L.) A.DC. is a robust, medium to tall perennial plant that is covered in minute hairs on its upper parts. Most of its leaves grow in a large basal rosette; they are pinnate or pinnately lobed, with lower leaves having long stalks. Its leaflets range in shape from oval to oblong, and have coarse teeth along their edges. The flowers are pale blue, measure 9–10 mm across, and grow in large, relatively narrow panicles. The corolla has 5 linear lobes that spread outward or curve backward. The fruit is a capsule that opens through three pores located in its middle section. This species flowers from April to May, and grows in the habitat of rock crevices, cliffs, and old walls.
