About Pertya dioica (Bunge) S.E.Freire

This species was previously classified under the genus Myripnois, a genus of Chinese flowering plants in the daisy family Asteraceae. The genus Myripnois is dioecious, meaning male and female flowers grow on separate individual plants. Only one species was known within the genus Myripnois, currently classified as Pertya dioica (Bunge) S.E.Freire. This species is native to China, where it occurs in the provinces of Hebei, Shaanxi, Shandong, Hubei, Henan, Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning.
