Mesotype parallelolineata, also called Perizoma parallelolineata, is a moth species that belongs to the family Geometridae and the subfamily Larentiinae. This species was first formally described by Anders Jahan Retzius in 1783. Its distribution covers most of Europe, extending from central Europe through Russia to the Ural Mountains and the Altai Mountains. The genus this species belongs to, Mesotype, is sometimes classified as part of the genus Perizoma instead. The wingspan of the adult moth measures around 25 mm. Adult moths are active and can be found in flight during August and September. The larvae of this moth feed on a variety of plant species, including members of the genera Galium, Rumex, Plantago, and Taraxacum.
