About Peperomia urvilleana A.Rich.

Peperomia urvilleana A.Rich. is a flowering plant species belonging to the Piperaceae family. It is native to the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Norfolk Island, the southwestern Pacific, and warmer regions of New Zealand. In New Zealand's South Island, it is only found from Marlborough Sounds and Golden Bay / Mohua to the Heaphy. It grows as a succulent subshrub on the forest floor, and occasionally grows as an epiphyte on low tree trunks. Its Māori name is wharanui.
