About Pentzia incana (Thunb.) Kuntze

Commonly called African sheepbush, and known as goeiekaroo (meaning "good karoo") in Afrikaans, Pentzia incana (Thunb.) Kuntze is a plant native to South Africa and Namibia. It grows across the Succulent Karoo, Nama Karoo, renosterveld, and fynbos regions, and is classified as "safe" (Least Concern, LC) on the SANBI Red List. This species has been introduced to Australia. It is a grey, downy shrub that reaches approximately 60 cm (24 in) in height. It has upright fibrous stem branches, bundled leaves that measure 3-9 mm long, are egg-shaped or wedge-shaped, and are split once or twice. It produces yellow flowers that resemble chamomile. It is considered a decent grazing plant.
