Pemphigus obesinymphae Aoki & Moran, 1994 is a species of gall-forming aphid. This aphid forms galls on the leaves of Populus fremontii. It is the only known aphid species native to North America that has soldier individuals: first instar nymphs that act in defense of the aphid colony.
