About Pelochrista dorsisignatana (Clemens, 1860)
Pelochrista dorsisignatana (Clemens, 1860), also referred to as Eucosma dorsisignatana and commonly called the triangle-backed eucosma, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is native to North America, with recorded ranges extending from Nova Scotia in the northeast to Florida in the southeast, westward to Texas, and northward to Manitoba. The wingspan of adult moths ranges from 12 to 22 millimeters. Adult individuals are active on the wing from July through November. The larvae of this species feed on the roots of plants in the Solidago genus.
