About Pellaea stictica (Dallas, 1851)

Pellaea stictica is a species of stink bug. It occurs in temperate regions of the Western Hemisphere, including North America, South America, and the Caribbean. Both adults and nymphs of this species are recognized as edible insects in Mexico. The species was first formally described for science in 1851. As of 2021, its distribution north of Mexico has only recently expanded to California; before this expansion, it was only known to occur in Texas in that region.
