About Pelargonium cordifolium (Cav.) Curtis

Pelargonium cordifolium (Cav.) Curtis is a large, spreading pelargonium species that can grow up to 1.5 metres tall. This species is a hairy plant with a faint apple scent, and produces pale pink flowers marked with dark veins from March to July. Its leaves are heart-shaped, either flat or curled, with margins ranging from finely to coarsely toothed; leaves may be either entire or shallowly lobed, dark green on the upper surface, and covered in a white matted texture on the lower surface. It is valued as a houseplant, or as an outdoor perennial in climates that support its growth. Its leaves can be used in potpourris.
