About Pedioplanis laticeps (Smith, 1845)

Pedioplanis laticeps (Smith, 1845) shows very variable coloration. Adult individuals of this species have a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of 5 to 6 centimeters (2.0 to 2.4 inches). This species has no gular fold, and the nasal scales do not touch each other behind the rostral scale. P. laticeps occurs in southern Namibia and western South Africa. Its preferred natural habitat is shrubland. P. laticeps reproduces by laying eggs (it is oviparous).
