About Pedicia rivosa (Linnaeus, 1758)

Pedicia rivosa, formally described by Linnaeus in 1758, is a species of hairy-eyed cranefly that belongs to the family Pediciidae. This species is distributed across most of Europe, but does not occur on the Iberian Peninsula. One of its subspecies, P. rivosa mannheimsi, is recorded from France and Germany, and some specimens collected in Scotland may also belong to this subspecies.
