Patiria pectinifera (Muller & Troschel, 1842), commonly called the blue bat star, is a species of starfish belonging to the family Asterinidae. This species is found in the northern Pacific Ocean, along the coasts of Japan, China, and Russia, and is used as a model organism in the field of developmental biology.

Patiria pectinifera is native to the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea, and the Yellow Sea. It can also be found along the coast of the Russian Federation, ranging from Posyet Bay to the Strait of Tartary and the southern part of Sakhalin. It inhabits the shallow subtidal zone on stony seabeds and other types of substrates, at depths down to 40 metres (130 ft).
