Pataeta carbo is a species of moth belonging to the family Euteliidae. It was first formally described by Achille Guenée in 1852. This moth is found in regions around the west Pacific, including parts of Australia: the Australian Capital Territory, the Northern Territory, Queensland, and Victoria. It can also be found in Fiji and Hong Kong. The wingspan of adult Pataeta carbo is approximately 50 millimeters. The larvae of this moth feed on plant species from the genera Eucalyptus and Callistemon.
