Passiflora miniata Vanderpl., commonly called the flaming red passionflower, is a flowering plant belonging to the passion flower family Passifloraceae. This species is native to northern regions of South America. It is a climbing vine that produces tendrils which can reach up to 33 cm (13 inches) in length. Its flowers are a striking brilliant red, with a purple corona. These flowers can grow up to 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide, and are counted among the largest flowers found in the Passiflora genus.
