About Passiflora capsularis L.
Passiflora capsularis L. is a species in the Passifloraceae plant family. It produces delicate, vanilla-scented white flowers that measure around 5 centimetres (2.0 inches) long. The plant bears distinctive, ribbed ellipsoid fruits that are reddish purple in colour, and these fruits are not edible. It grows easily in tropical climates, and can tolerate temperatures as low as 5 °C, and even lower temperatures for short periods of time. It grows and flowers readily even when kept in small pots.
