About Parvulastra exigua (Lamarck, 1816)

Parvulastra exigua has a pentagonal body with no clearly protruding arms. Its dorsal surface is covered in tile-like plates, each bearing a small cluster of spines. The species has variegated coloration, with bright patterned markings in shades of orange, brown, green, and white. Parvulastra exigua is distributed from Namibia to Mozambique, where it occurs in intertidal zones down to 3 meters deep. It is also found on St Helena, St Paul, and in southeastern Australia.
