Parvanachis obesa, commonly known as the fat dovesnail, is a species of sea snail. It is a marine gastropod mollusc that belongs to the family Columbellidae, which are called the dove snails. This marine species is found in the geographic region ranging from 37°N to 35°S latitude, and from 97.5°W to 36°W longitude. Specifically, it occurs in the following locations: the United States (including Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida (both East Florida and West Florida), Louisiana, and Texas); Mexico (including Veracruz, Campeche State, Yucatan State, and Quintana Roo); Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela (including Sucre and Isla Margarita); Bermuda, Jamaica; the Virgin Islands (specifically St. Croix); off the coast of French Guiana; Surinam; Brazil (including Alagoas, Sao Paulo, Parana, and Santa Catarina); and Uruguay.
