About Parsonsia velutina R.Br.

Parsonsia velutina R.Br. grows slender stems that are up to 20 mm in diameter. This species must climb over rock faces or other plants to access sunlight. When damaged, its stems may release a watery sap. It bears broad, opposite leaves covered in brown hairs, a feature that gives the plant its common name. After producing small yellow and brown flowers, it forms long, slender pods that measure 7 to 10 centimetres in length.
