This butterfly is found on Mauritius, Réunion, and Madagascar. Its natural habitat includes forest margins and anthropogenic, or human-modified, environments. The larvae of this butterfly feed on Oryza sativa (cultivated rice) and Saccharum officinarum (sugarcane).
