Parma alboscapularis (New Zealand black angelfish/black scalyfin) is a pomacentrid damselfish found off northeastern New Zealand, growing 24 to 28 cm long.
Parma alboscapularis, described by Allen & Hoese in 1975, is commonly known as the New Zealand black angelfish or the black scalyfin. It is a damselfish that belongs to the family Pomacentridae. This species is found around northeastern New Zealand, inhabiting shallow rocky reef areas down to depths of a few metres. Individuals of this species grow to a length between 24 and 28 centimetres.
